I have fashioned this posting to provide out-of-towners and
others who were unable to be at the Memorial an opportunity to share with those
who were present some insight into this wonderful event that celebrated my dear
Bernice’s life. There are some pictures and an audio recording that captured
the entire hour and half of the tributes. The pictures and audio recording were
all prepared by son Harvey.
Bernice started this blog in October 2009 and it gave her
much pleasure in its writing and provided her friends with her varied news. I
presume this may be a last posting.
Son Harvey arranged, in the entryway lobby of the synagogue,
an array of pictures highlighting Bernice over the years. My darling was
certainly smiling and photogenic. From left-to-right there is a large montage
of pictures (which is also included below); on the table is a small picture of
Bernice at 13; pictures showing her just after she completed the 1984 NYC
marathon; a small montage showing us with dear friends Michèle and Raymond; a
picture from 2001 on our 50th anniversary; and, finally, the oft-posted
“9 Bernices in Her Study.”
Our 50th anniversary picture. Jan 31, 2012 would have been our 61st.
Here is the wonderful montage of pictures Harvey composed.
You should be able to click on any picture to get an enlarged view. It used to
be that you hit the return arrow to get back to the blog but I am not sure that
works in this new version. I hope that this image is not too large to be able
to see the details. If you want a high resolution copy, please email and I will comply if possible.
Here is the speaker list with times interspersed between
names:
Speaker List for Bernice Memorial
Sunday, Jan 15
The times listed that are interspersed between each speaker
name are the approximate times in
minutes that may be indexed on the audio recording that son Harvey made at
Bernice’s Memorial.

Finally, here is the link that will load the audio of the
entire hour and half of tributes. You can use the speaker list and the
approximate time indices I have there or just listen through. There is the
familiar play/pause button for you to use. You can use your cursor (while in
pause mode) to slide the small indicator to the time you desire and then hit
the play arrow to listen. You can listen in separate sessions by closing and
returning to where you want.
